Paint Sample Giveaway

If you haven't heard, Valspar (or Ace Hardware, not sure which) is giving away a different paint sample each day through the month of March. At 12:00 EST, the first 1000 people to request a sample on the website will get one sent to them with a couple mini roller brushes.

You have to be quick to get these, and I mean QUICK! I set my alarm to go off at 9:55 (I am Mountain Standard Time). Then I go to the website and watch the clock. As soon as it its 10:00 I refresh and click the button. On days when my computer is slower than normal, I don't get a sample. They are all gone by 10:01. It's crazy. But it's a lot of fun too, trying to get the sample and not knowing what the color is until after you have requested it.

I got my first sample in the mail today!! It is called "Sun Sparkle." It's a pretty yellow color. I don't know what I will do with it yet, but I like it a lot.

They also send a paint chip of the color and other colors that go nicely with it.

Sweet Potato Pancakes

I am always having a hard time figuring out what to feed my toddler girls. They like something one day, and the next they won't even take a bite. They really don't like most vegetables plain, so it is nice to find recipes that include vegetables. I have a recipe for pumpkin pancakes that I feed them fairly often, so I was really wanting to try something new. I had a can of yams, so I thought I would look up a recipe for sweet potato pancakes. I found this recipe from Weelicious that is so yummy, I ate 3 of them myself. And Ivy and Clara really enjoyed them, too. Here is the recipe:

I think I will have to make it one night this week for dinner so Preston can enjoy these delicious pancakes with me!
